Three Day Weekend!!

Well - seven months since I have written anything... Apparently I need a "mission statement" for this blog so I can focus. Yes, I work in a corporate world. Mission statements, best practices, outside the box, on the same page, all buzz words I work with weekly.

Maybe I will post some interesting things and get some followers. I already follow a few blogs of some amazing women. I in no way will match their witty and insightful posts, but hopefully I can learn from them.
Here is a picture of me with my beautiful children. This was at the STL Zoo on Spring Break in March.

My children were both adopted domestically (more on that later). My son, Logan, is 5 and will start kindergarten in the fall. He missed the cutoff last year by 3 days. He is already reading and doing math, so I am worried Kindergarten my not be enough of a challenge.
My daughter, Emily, is 12 and true pre-teen. Eye-rolling and all. She is 5'8, same height as me. I will be looking up to her soon. She is a straight A student. She will be in 7th grad next year. Her first year in Middle School. Oh the fun we are going to have! (Can you hear the sarcasm?)
Here I am before I had my hair "chopped" off. I miss my long hair! It was easier. Since I have thick, curly hair, longer seems to work better. Everyone tells me they LOVE my new haircut. But what are they supposed to say, "Hey your hair looks like a frizzy helmet. It will look better when it grows back - in TWO YEARS!"?

Here is my family. Me, kids and hubby Troy.

And how we normally look.

Now I am off to enjoy my three day weekend. It is a working weekend. I have TONS things to get organized and cleaned up in this house. And a few fun things to do, too.

I am fired up about this oil spill in the Gulf, so I will put my thoughts together and comment on that soon. Jami

Here We Go...

Catching up is the perfect title for this blog. My life is all about catching up. Catching up with bills, catching up with housework, catching up with my kids, cathing up with life.

I plan to use this space to record my thoughts and observations about my life and the world. Maybe I will let someone read it someday. Not much I say will be earth shattering, but my family may want to read. If I am really ambitious, maybe I will post a picture or two.

More to come. Time to catch up on that laundry!
